The World You Want to Live In
Film, duration 03:12, Direction: Karina Pośpiech, Editing: Krzysztof Visconti
The film was created as part of the German-Polish mobile phone film project 'ExperymentNAchbarn Sasiedzi 2011,' initiated and funded by the Goethe Institute in Warsaw, and selected for presentation at the Planet doc. documentary film festival in Warsaw in May 2011.
Recording the film on a mobile phone allows an intimate conversational situation that would not have been possible otherwise.

Karina Pośpiech's film shows three men living on the streets of Berlin. At the beginning, we see a street musician who plays harmonica every day at Nollendorfplatz. He spends the cold nights in the nearby bank lobby.

Near Warschauer Brücke, in the entrance to a bank, two Polish men warm themselves in the bitter cold. They have been living on the street for a year and a half and tell me their moving life story. The film contains partial German subtitles.
